Renaissance Car is Gone

The time has come - unexpectedly - to say goodbye to the Renaissance Man car. It was a '93 Mercury Capri made in Australia. I did some thrifty things to the car to keep it going and today it met it's untimely death in an accident at the hands of my spouse. Fortunately, she was not hurt - badly beaten by the seatbelt and airbag.

However, unfortunately, we didn't have collision due to the age of the car, and now we're out a lot of money and the best gas mileage car (and best running condition) is gone. I had just had a new front end done, tires, brakes, water pump and timing belt. I put the last pictures of the Renaissance mobile with this entry - crying is acceptable. The car will likely have a new future as part of a steel bridge or building.

The real pisser is if I was working she would not have ever been on that road going to a job. And I thought
getting laid off last week was the bad part.

Oh well, no plane, no renaissance car... whats NOT next?

- TMRM (trying to keep up the spirit)

Also, I had to cancel tonight's taping session, obviously, because of the accident and it would have been overly hard to put on the happy face for the show. So, the show doesn't "always go on"... for me.

TMRM... I wish I had some encoraging words to share with you... but you know, sometimes the timing is all wrong; do your grieving.

I know you'll miss the car, but I'm glad the renaissance spouse is okay.

Next taping: see ya there. Bug

Ouch. TMRM, you're lucky the spouse survived... this looks really bad.
What's "not next"? Delivering for Dominos?
