Robert Bolton is a local Renaissance Man who is well worth getting to know. We met him twelve years ago when looking for a traditional Christmas Tree vendor. Mr. Bolton sells trees during the season; however, it is the rest of the year that he really shines. He is an independent business owner specializing in wood working. Mr. Bolton custom builds utility houses, car ports, picnic tables, dog houses & kennels, and any related woodwork items you might need. His business is Bolton's Woodwork Company.

Recently, Robert is facing delimnas with the City of Charlotte on zoning impacts for his business just after he was forced to relocate from a site that was found to contain chemical ground contamination from previous occupants. His new location is not conducive to customers finding him - not easily visible for retail shoppers.

Another interesting aspect of Mr. Bolton was his participation in the movie, "The Color Purple". He is a spiritual man and is one of the nicest and best people you will every meet.

For an interesting conversation or discussion on woodworking, give him a call. I am trying to get him to the September 12th taping session of The Modern Renaissance Man with hopes or airing an interview with him this fall !!

Robert Bolton can be reached at 704-619-7113. Tell him TMRM said to say "hello".

Hey TMRM...I think I've met this gentleman. He has photos allover his office of things he's made or built. Also pictures of satisfied customers standing next to the new picnic table, shed, etc. I would love to have one of his octagon shaped picnic tables... they're incredibly beautiful.

I hope he comes on your show!
