TMRM Going Weekly - NOT!

Well, after some research and discussion with the current station carrying the show, I have determined it is not in the best interest of The Modern Renaissance Man program, the Producer, and the volunteers to go to a weekly time slot. The station could not guarantee a specific day of the week let alone keeping the same time slot on Fridays. So, to keep this good time, even to the dismay of those wanting the weekly, including me, I will not risk being aired at some strange time say on Wednesday nights, Saturday late afternoon, or something after 1130pm.
Additionally, with the strick limitations on available taping sessions by the station - some which is justified, some that is not, going to a weekly will likely lead to less fun and I'm not heading there. Also, there is too much chance for getting into station staff / producer conflicts that frequently happen with other shows and I don't want (well, part of me would) to got there either - I do like to challenge people with thought processes that I've disagree with.
Anyway, this show has gained its strength through entertainment both in front of and behind the cameras.
Unlike NC Senator Pittenger (who cares if I spelled it wrong), I cannot pay a "volunteer" professional producer, director and/or editor to make my shows. I believe the Senator is advertising and selling his political viewpoint and perspective under the guise of talkshow and it should be stopped. He is not eligible to produce a show with access 21 so has hired a local residence producer who can - then takes advantage of the freel equipment usage.
I've volunteered once on his show - he didn't even acknowledge me, let alone say thank you - snobbish conservative (as bad as a snobbish liberal). I'll never volunteer for it again - and I don't like his politics or party either!!! OK, now off the soapbox for the night.
Oh well, want to see TMRM weekly, then come down and watch the tapings. Between that and the actual airings, you'll feel like you're seeing it more. And, I'll love having the live audience.
Thanks to all who wanted the weekly and have sent correspondences. You're the greatest!
But No Weekly for Now.
Peace with airplanes,
Ben
